• About 100 airlines operate passenger and cargo flights to and from AMS to over 284 scheduled destinations worldwide.
• With Europe’s highest peak hour capacity at up to 110 movements per hour, using three runways simultaneously, AMS will be able to offer up to 510,000 slots per calendar year.

In 2009 Amsterdam Airport Schiphol was the proud winner of prestigious awards, namely the “Best Airport in Europe” by Business Traveller in London and the 'ACI Europe Best Airport Award'. At the end of June, Canadian travel agents elected Amsterdam Airport Schiphol their ‘Favourite International Airport 2009’. And for the second year in a row, Amsterdam Airport Schiphol has been honoured with Executive Travel Magazine's 'Leading Edge Award'. Readers of this US magazine, published by the business travel division of American Express, voted Schiphol as Best International Airport (ahead of London Heathrow and Dubai) based on qualities including leadership, customer orientation and vision.
The readers of Cargonews Asia “Best Airport Europe” (17th time in a row!) and 11th time in a row voted ‘Best Air Cargo Terminal Europe, both. Also AMS was awarded the OAG Airport Marketing Award during Routes 2007 in Stockholm.
