General Aviation

All flights to and from a coordinated airport can only be executed when an air carrier or any other aircraft operator have been allocated a slot by a coordinator. State flights, emergency landings and humanitarian flights are exempted.
General aviation (all aviation except commercial aviation) is therefore subject to slot coordination at AMS, EIN and RTM.

Amsterdam Airport Schiphol
The following procedure is applicable for General Aviation at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol.
  1. General aviation is not allowed to operate during night time (23.00 – 06.59 LT)
  2.  Based on the slot pool, after the slot return date, time brackets available for General Aviation are calculated on an average day basis. These time brackets indicate certain periods during the day in which capacity is still available. Normally, this will be outside peak hours.
  3. For outbound flights, inbound flights and technical flights, separate sets of time brackets will be issued.
  4. The time brackets will be published by NOTAM.
  5. If the capacity for general aviation within the brackets decreases because of ad-hoc slot requests by air carriers, the time brackets will be altered and published accordingly.
  6. General Aviation, operating within the time brackets as published in the latest NOTAM, does not need to apply for a slot for practical reasons.
  7. For landing and takeoff outside the published time brackets, General Aviation must submit a request for the allocation of available ad hoc slots to SACN and await approval before operating.
  8. Historical precedence will not be given to any General Aviation operation.
